July 1997. While driving home drunk, corporate attorney Tobias Beecher accidentally killed Cathy Rockwell. He is charged with driving while intoxicated and vehicular manslaughter. He was convicted July 5th, 1997. He was given the maximum sentence of 15 years, eligible for parole in four. Upon conviction of a felony, he was automatically disbarred.
